In this tradition of Jyotish, D30 is treated as a divisional chart used to examine difficulties, suffering, affliction, enemies, illness-related indications, and patterns of trouble. It is often approached as a chart of challenging conditions rather than a chart for ordinary favorable outcomes.

Traditionally, D30 may be read for areas where something small can become troublesome or where a hidden weakness may rise into notice. The chart is therefore handled cautiously, especially when health, distress, danger, or severe misfortune are discussed.

Scope

D30 is generally associated with hardship-oriented interpretation. It may suggest mental pain, difficult circumstances, illness-related indications, enemies, and the way a problem gains strength. It is not generally used in this material for topics such as marriage timing, children, promotions, transfers, or auspicious status results.

Reading Approach

A D30 reading is traditionally approached step by step. The lagna, lagna lord, house rulerships, weakness, affliction, and role changes are checked before forming a judgment.

A simple benefic-versus-malefic reading is treated as insufficient here. The emphasis is on noticing which factor is rising up, becoming weak, becoming afflicted, or changing its role, and then interpreting that factor within the chart’s difficulty-focused scope.

House Emphasis

The fourth house in D30 may indicate inner character, moral tendencies, emotional dents, mental difficulty, and heart-related trouble as astrological themes.

The sixth house may indicate external enemies, internal enemies, and illness-related factors. If a planet is placed in the sixth house, its dasha may be read as a period where trouble or illness-related themes can become active. If the sixth house is empty, the sixth lord may be considered instead.

The eighth house may be considered when an illness-related indication is read as more serious or harder to manage. This is a traditional interpretive rule and should not be treated as a medical assessment.

Lagna and Dasha Use

The strength of the D30 lagna lord is treated as important. A stronger lagna lord may suggest reduced vulnerability to problems, while weakness through difficult houses, debilitation, or affliction may suggest greater exposure to trouble.

The same Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha can be examined in D30. Dashas connected with the sixth, eighth, twelfth, third, or badhakesh may be read as periods where trouble-related themes can become more active. The houses ruled by the mahadasha and antardasha lords are checked to see which D30 areas may be activated.
