Rahu is traditionally associated with planning and strategy in business. A strong Rahu may suggest an ability to identify opportunities, position an offering, or approach commercial problems unconventionally. In software-related work, it may be read as supporting the commercial and promotional side of development, while technical ability and sales capacity may still require separate evaluation.
For Aquarius-related career planning, Rahu may be treated as a primary planning influence and Saturn as a secondary influence. In more general material matters, Saturn may receive greater emphasis. Such distinctions tend to depend on the specific question being examined.
Wealth Potential and Instability
Rahu may indicate both expansion and instability in financial matters. When it occupies a position treated as the path to wealth, especially the tenth from the Moon, it can suggest uncertainty, reversals, or difficulty identifying a dependable source of income.
In the second house, Rahu may allow substantial inflow while also suggesting greater expenditure, poor retention, unsuitable investments, problematic associations, or misleading guidance. It is also traditionally associated there with complications involving speech and eating habits.
When Rahu joins an otherwise supportive wealth factor, both influences may operate together: income may arise while exposure to losses, deception, or unwise financial choices may also increase. A chart therefore tends to require evaluation of supportive and disruptive factors together.
Strength and Context
Some interpretations treat a strong Rahu in Sagittarius or Pisces, especially when supported in the Navamsha, as a possible wealth indication. This usage does not necessarily imply a literal exaltation or debilitation scheme for Rahu. A weakened or contextually difficult Rahu may also produce constructive financial effects in some configurations, but this indication should not be generalized.
Rahu's conjunctions may modify other planets. For example, Rahu with a debilitated Mars may be read in a manner resembling retrograde Mars, while Rahu associated with Jupiter may suggest reduced clarity or purity in Jupiter's wealth-related indications. Such combinations may still permit income while complicating retention or growth.
House and Timing Considerations
Rahu in the eighth house may suggest exposure of concealed plans or finances, reputational discomfort, or scrutiny of hidden matters. These are treated as possibilities rather than predictions of a specific legal or financial event.
Rahu, Saturn, and Jupiter transits may be observed when assessing financial developments through Indu Lagna. However, the traditional calculation of Indu Lagna itself uses seven planets and excludes Rahu and Ketu, with the Moon receiving central importance.
Balanced Interpretation
Rahu should be assessed through placement, house relationships, conjunctions, sign context, divisional strength, and timing. Difficult combinations may suggest struggle or instability, while stronger supporting factors may moderate or outweigh them. Rahu is therefore often read less as a simple promise of wealth and more as an indication of how ambition, strategy, uncertainty, and risk may interact.
